  • Leaders work collaboratively with external agencies and parents to review and assess how well children are developing, sharing progress and areas of need well, and seeking support and guidance as required.
  • Children develop skills and knowledge across the 7 areas of the early years foundation stage, showing pride in their work and achievements, and developing personal, social and emotional skills through positive relationships with peers and staff.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff plan and resource a wide range of learning experiences, particularly for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring full curriculum access. Staff adapt teaching and provision to remove barriers and swiftly identify early learning gaps, providing effective support. Leaders collaborate with external agencies and parents to review and assess children's development, sharing progress and needs, and seeking guidance. All children, including those with SEND, receive necessary support to make secure progress.

Outdoor space

Children have numerous opportunities to develop their physical skills outdoors. In the garden, they learn to navigate large apparatus, balance, climb, and run. Staff encourage independence by supporting children in self-care tasks like putting on coats for outdoor play, allowing them to problem-solve.

My Daughter spent 2 and a half years at Wind in the Willows and in this time her development has come on leaps and bounds thanks to the staff, they are incredibly welcoming, understanding and patient with all of the children in their care, the passion that they display is second to none. I am so incredibly grateful to them for everything they have helped her to achieve and would absolutely recommend this nursery to everyone, who wishes for their child to be a part of a setting who will assist their child to thrive in not only their learning but also kindness, compassion and empathy.

Since joining Wind in the Willows Pre-school, I have seen so many improvement in my daughters. My daughters enjoy going to school. The School has got very experienced teachers who understand children irrespective of their background, personal, behavioural and educational needs. I feel confident and assured when I leave my daughter's in their care. Since every parent's fear is living their little ones in the care of another person. But the accommodating and welcoming attitude of the teachers give me assurance. Taking my daughter's to the school is the best thing that has happened to them. Warm and loving care. Very Supportive and Nurturing Environment and Teachers.

We’ve been with Willows for a year now and it’s been fantastic. Staff are always very professional and courteous which has left my husband and I with peace of mind. Great facilities!!. All Covid protocols are followed to a tee! 5 stars*
