About this day nursery

Little Tinkers Preschool@ Fern Grove, established in 2016, provides term-time childcare for children aged 1 to 4 years in Milton Keynes. The setting operates from 9am until midday, midday until 3pm, or full-time from 9am until 3pm.

The highly caring and passionate management team and staff provide a warm welcome, helping children to feel a sense of belonging and quickly at ease. Children arrive happily, are highly motivated, concentrate well and engage for long periods in activities.

The curriculum focuses on physical, communication, and personal development, building age-appropriate skills for school or their next stage in learning. Staff ensure all children are included, including those who are disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

The special educational needs coordinator actively supports children with SEND. Children are curious and eager to learn, participating in a wide range of interesting activities and experiences both indoors and outdoors.

Staff use Makaton and visual aids to support children's communication and language. Effective partnerships with parents and other professionals ensure consistency and inclusion in children's learning, as highlighted in their latest "Good" Ofsted inspection on 2nd July 2024.
