Brambles Childcare, established in July 2018 through the merger of Brambles Playgroup and Fun Club, offers comprehensive childcare for children aged 2 to 11 years. Operating from the St Helens Primary School site, the nursery benefits from access to school facilities like the hall, playground, playing fields, and a Forest School area.
As a registered charity and member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance, Brambles Childcare adheres to the Children’s Act 2004 and undergoes regular Ofsted inspections to meet National Standards, which enables them to receive Nursery Education Funding. The facility is managed by a volunteer committee of trustees who guide its operations.
They provide a diverse range of activities tailored to foster children's social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development, promoting learning through play and direct experiences. The curriculum is designed to achieve nationally approved learning outcomes and prepare children for the National Curriculum at age five, focusing on key areas such as personal, social and emotional development, physical development, communication and language, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.

What it's like
Children are safe and well cared for at Brambles Childcare, forming strong attachments with staff and confidently expressing their needs. They are encouraged to develop independence through activities like preparing snacks and participating in self-care routines. The nursery also provides new experiences by visiting farms and hosting community visitors.
