Inclusion & environment
Staff collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the support they need. The management and staff consider how to spend any additional funding ensuring they target any gaps in children's learning. For example, they bought a basketball hoop to help children understand purposeful throwing, which helps children to regulate their emotions while developing coordination and motor control.
All children enjoy spending time in the well-resourced outdoor areas. Babies enjoy practising their walking skills, while younger children play in the woodland garden and older children climb trees and make homes for bugs.
Inspirational nursery! Kindred St Ives is absolutely fabulous, my son has thrived since starting when he was just 9 months old, to when he’s leaving now (at nearly 5 years old). Sheila is a wonderful manager, who quite simply ensures every single child is given the highest level of care by the fabulous staff she has working for her. Michelle, Amy, Scarlett, Cara and Katie stand out but we’ve never come across a staff member we didn’t like, they are all brilliant! The nursery is modern, fun and engaging. The outside space is vast compared to other local nurseries. I’ll be very sad to see my son leave, but equally know he is more than ready for school thanks to the fantastic team at Kindred. Would recommend any day of the week!
Read on GoogleThe nursery is part of a small group of local nurseries (others in Girton and Brampton). Well run with great staff and they really care about the children. My son has been in nursery since 9 month and he is now 4yrs old and loves every day. I would personally and highly recommend this nursery.
