Bright Beginnings Day Nursery and Pre-school, located on the Gravesend Campus of North Kent College, offers high-quality, professional, and affordable childcare in a purpose-built facility. The day nursery provides a flexible, year-round provision, operating 51 weeks a year and closed only on bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

The Gravesend branch is Ofsted inspected and can accommodate up to 110 children across four rooms, catering to babies and pre-schoolers. Bright Beginnings prides itself on being fully inclusive, welcoming children of all abilities and nationalities.

The nursery also offers provision for college students' children, subject to eligibility and available funding. Another branch is located on the Dartford campus.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have very high levels of recognition and support. Staff provide a very positive environment to help children make progress in all their areas of development. Highly qualified and experienced staff work prolifically with a wealth of other professionals to introduce individual progress plans.

Outdoor space

Children thoroughly enjoy exploring the outside world in a very well-resourced outside play area that provides challenges and stimulates their imagination and discovery. They express themselves through movement and use of space, for example, toddlers delight in the wind while engaging in car-washing role play.

My son has special needs. Not only have the nursery staff gone above and beyond supporting my son, but they supported us through the EHCP process. I will be sad when he leaves the nursery, as he has progressed and been celebrated for his uniqueness. The staff in the caterpillar room are welcoming, knowledgeable, caring, supportive, professional and trustworthy. I'm grateful they were there for the start of my son's journey.

Having had my daughter at another apparently better nursery for some time, I can honestly say this place is amazing. Her progression and learning in six months has been phenomenal. Every member of staff is friendly and approachable, all the children are genuinely happy and lively in the classrooms and my daughter loves being there everyday. My only regret is that I didn't mive her there sooner

Do not leave your children there. My kid got kicked in the head and the educators pretended they didn t know when he had a concussion. A lying bunch of lazy and negligent people that have no accountability. Shameless!
