How they support every child

SEND provision

The passionate special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) has a good understanding of her role and responsibilities. She works well with parents and outside agencies. This ensures that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the support they need at the earliest opportunity. The SENCo supports staff to create individual plans for children, which focus on their next steps in development. All children are making good progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Children enjoy being physically active in their play. The large outside space inspires children to explore and use their imaginations. Children show confidence on the bicycles, learning to pedal and manoeuvre around obstacles. Younger children explore mark making using water, paintbrushes and chalks. Children have a keen interest in bird spotting. They use binoculars to search for the birds in the trees. Children and staff show huge delight when a peacock lands on the roof. Staff take advantage of this to further extend children's knowledge.

Our little boy joined this nursery in August at 9 months old, and we could not be happier with our choice! All of the nursery staff and the manager, Lauren, are absolutely amazing. Nothing we ask is too much trouble and they are all so extremely helpful! Thank you Lauren & the Gravesend team for being so great, and creating a lovely warm welcoming environment for our son.

After having some real struggles with my little boy settling into the nursery environment the nursery staff were amazing with talking over different options to try and help with the transition, especially as his days there are from open till close several days a week. Safe to safe he now loves going into nursery and has just moved up into caterpillas. Everyone seems to know Hudson and always says hello to him. It makes me feel so proud as to how he is progressing but also so thankful to all the staff for putting in the effort to try different measures and taking the time to settle Hudson but also a very anxious first time mum too! The food menu is varied and it’s good to know if your child doesn’t like something they will always try other options! The facilities are exceptional and very clean too. Around very happy with our choice of using kids inc gravesend.

My son started attending in June 2025, he started at 12 months and I was very anxious. This nursery supported me, reassured me and has cared for my son so warm-heartedly. He loves attending and always leaves happy at the end of the day. Best decision I made for him. He’s reaching milestones and is so confident in himself. Thank you!

A warm, welcoming setting! My son has attended since he was a year old. Everyone is so friendly. My son is always excited to go in and always happy when collected, I would highly recommend them.

Kids Inc have incredible staff, they truly go above and beyond for all their children. The building is fun and bright and feels really secure as an anxious mum theyre always on hand to help with any questions or concerns and I would always recommend them as a nursery!
