Inclusion & environment
Staff identify children who have delays in their development. Staff have undertaken appropriate training and use this knowledge to implement strategies that support children's development, such as 'bucket time' to help children learn to play in small groups, build their vocabulary and maintain attention.
Pre-school children help to make safety checks in the garden, such as looking for large puddles and litter that needs clearing, while toddlers enthusiastically help sweep up fallen leaves. Children have opportunities to grow plants in the garden and learn new physical skills, such as yoga poses.
My son has been attending Bright Horizons Balham for over a year now and our experience has been absolutely fantastic. The nursery is newly refurbished with excellent facilities and separate gardens for the babies and toddlers. The staff are warm and friendly and I have complete trust in them in caring for my son. The variety of activities are excellent and parents receive a daily update on the app with photos and information on the day's activities. My son skips with joy every day going to the nursery, is extremely happy and is developing really well there. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery to other parents.
Read on GoogleI have taken my son to this nursery for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. Their experienced staff keep me regularly informed about the development of my son and in those periods of the year when he felt unwell they quickly called me to let me know about this, which gives the confidence that my son is in good hands. In addition, the nursery provides everything my son needs such as joy, food and a great environment with a large private external area on the ground where the kids can play outside and learn gardening too, especially in summer time. I highly recommend Bright Horizons Balham to other parents.
Read on GoogleI couldn't be more impressed with the team and the care they give to my child than at Bright Horizons. We think the facilities are fantastic because everything is virtually brand-new, there is heaps of space, two gardens one which is shaded, and everything is up-to-date. The chef cooks the food on site and it is super nutritious and all home-cooked - I got too try one of the soups and was the best I had had! Also, because the nursery only reopened recently, it is not yet at capacity and the staff to children ratio is far better than any other Nursery in London I would guess! My boy absolutely loves it, he loves the other kids, he loves the stuff and he has so much fun. We get regular updates on the app so we can see pictures and anything else we might want to know. The team there are really flexible so we can add on days if we need to with ease and all the admin side of putting a child to nursery run super smoothly. I can't recommend this place enough!
Read on GoogleI couldn’t be happier and more confident in the nursery staff and managers. They updates are so refreshing in the app and photos are uploaded (with permission of course). Progress reports on the children are always detailed and they genuinely care and take their time with my son. When he had fussy eating habits they worked with me to help improve his eating which has happened. My son couldn’t be happier and I can breathe knowing he is in the best hands! I would name the best staff members individually but I’d end up naming everyone, honestly they’re amazing !
Read on GoogleOur girls have been very happy at Bright Horizon. The staff are so kind and patient with the children, in particular Shine, Sandra, Eva, Gladys and Alicia. We are also very appreciative of the management, Grace and Miriam who have been so accommodating of us as a family. We are very happy to have such a great nursery so close to us. Thank you for all you do.
