Inclusion & environment
Children with identified or emerging special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive very good support from staff and the special educational needs coordinator (SENCo). Staff use strategies such as learning key words in children's home languages, pictures, and signing (Makaton) to support communication.
Children love outdoor play and can freely choose to spend time inside or outside in the garden. Toddlers enjoy exploring the climbing equipment outside.
Fantastic nursery. Our first daughter was with Bright Horizons Church Crookham for 4 years and our second is almost a year in - all the staff and management are great and they’ve really helped our girls develop.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been going to Bright Horizons nursery in Church Crookham since December 2020. She was 11 months old when she started and being a lock-down baby was very unsettled around new faces. The staff were brilliant at helping her settle in and also fab at reassuring me that she was enjoying her time at nursery. Within a week she was happily waving me off! The nursery is very welcoming with lots of toys and play areas for the children, including a lovely outdoor space for when he weather is nice. There are plenty of activities going on throughout the day and the staff are fantastic at interacting with the little ones and encouraging messy play. I was a bit worried about nap time (my daughter isn't a great sleeper) but within a few weeks she was sleeping a solid 2 hours after lunch. The staff are great at following a child's routine and any changes i.e extra milk feeds or a new nap times, they accommodate without any fuss. I'm so happy I chose this nursery for my child.
Read on GoogleMy son loves this nursery and is clearly very happy there. The staff are all wonderful and have really made the effort to get to know him. I feel really happy leaving him there for the day knowing he will be doing lots of activities whilst learning and developing. Couldn’t be happier with my choice of nursery for my son and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bright Horizons Church Crookham to other parents looking for a nursery.
