Bright Horizons operates a network of over 300 nurseries and preschools across the UK, offering comprehensive childcare solutions for families. Their approach, known as 'The Nurture Approach', focuses on fostering each child's individual growth, ensuring their health, happiness, and potential are fully realised.
This philosophy integrates learning with emotional wellbeing, providing a supportive environment led by dedicated and skilled practitioners. The nursery emphasises the importance of early relationships, with a Key Person system designed to build trust between the child, parent, and caregiver from the very first 'settling in' sessions.
These sessions are non-chargeable and can begin up to six weeks before a child's official start date, allowing ample time for familiarisation with the nursery setting and its staff. Parents are encouraged to participate initially, gradually extending their time away as their child adapts, with the process tailored to each child’s unique needs.
The curriculum, 'Bright Beginnings', incorporates five key learning areas, promoting practical and life skills through engaging activities, including outdoor adventures and Forest School programmes. Bright Horizons also provides freshly prepared meals, actively managing allergies, and offers resources for parents on various topics, from school readiness to childcare funding options.
With a strong commitment to safety and development, Bright Horizons aims to create an extraordinary, thriving, and happy environment for children.

Inclusion & environment
The nursery's special educational needs coordinator is skilled and proactive, ensuring children who are making less than typical progress receive early intervention. Staff employ effective strategies that engage children in learning during activities, so all children make the best progress possible.
Children play energetically outdoors and enjoy participating in cooperative games, developing strong physical skills with bats and balls and good coordination rolling tyres. However, there are too few opportunities for children to learn to take appropriate risks during outdoor play and develop their good physical skills even further.
I just want to express how impressed I am with the facilities at Bright Horizons Finsbury Park, and how accommodating the nursery manager, Ayesha, has been so far. She did a brilliant job explaining everything about the nursery and showed real understanding of our situation. I’m very excited for my son to start here, and I will definitely write an update about his care as we go through the process. I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic experience.
Read on GoogleWe had a great experience at this nursery and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the area! All the staff were really friendly and went above and beyond to help my son settle into a new routine as he was very shy to start with but their kindness was always so lovely to see with him! It has a great outdoor space and I really did appreciate all the regular photos and updates we got during my son’s time at the nursery to help put me at ease. Thanks a lot ☺️
Read on GoogleGreat staff and excellent management make this an amazing nursery. Good activities and detailed updates on what your child has been up to as well as regular social events help parents get to know staff. We had to move away and were extremely sad to have to move the kids to a different nursery. Outstanding in our view.
Read on GoogleReview for Bright Horizon's approach to new parents wanting to register their children: I had three appointments booked and they were all wrong! I went to both nurseries - in Finsbury Park and in Arsenal only to find the team very surprised to see me. They had no records of bookings. Two days wasted. Plus, last week, the appointment made for Finsbury park was cancelled an hour before (never mind my husband taking leave to go see the place) as the admin person realised that the nursery don't do tours on Fridays. Unacceptable. I will definitely be not sending my child here. My friend was told she had a place for June, and when May came they told her it is actually in November (for Stoke Newington branch). Unacceptable stuff.
Read on GoogleOur children have been really happy here. Can't recommend the team and the facilities at this nursery more highly. The dedication, enthusiasm and warmth demonstrated by the whole team meant so much to us
