Les Petites Etoiles Bilingual Montessori in Crouch Hill is a private bilingual nursery and preschool catering to children from 6 months to 4 years old. Located in a tranquil North London setting, the nursery seamlessly integrates the Montessori method with a vibrant multilingual environment.
The programme aims to support each child's development, learning, and exploration. The nursery offers a nurturing space that fosters independence, creativity, and confidence, preparing children for Reception age.
The curriculum combines the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with the Montessori philosophy, offering a holistic education that is child-led, encouraging exploration and self-paced learning. Montessori materials are used to enhance focus and independence, while the EYFS framework ensures comprehensive development across all learning areas.
The nursery is accredited by Collaborative Montessori Accreditation (CMA) and has received positive feedback from Ofsted for its caring and well-organised environment. A key feature is the daily exposure to French and English through natural, immersive interactions, with native speakers employing a "one person, one language" approach.
Mandarin is also introduced to children as young as 6 months through playful activities, developing early language skills and cultural awareness in a trilingual setting. The nursery operates 47 weeks a year, offering full-time and flexible childcare.
Meals include a healthy morning snack, a home-cooked organic lunch, and a light afternoon tea, all prepared without added salt or sugar and catering to allergies and dietary needs. Parents are encouraged to visit to experience the nursery's environment, curriculum, and daily routines firsthand.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents mention the strong bonds that form between their children and staff.
They appreciate the daily learning and care information that key persons share with them and the timely support they provide.
Inclusion & environment
Staff are knowledgeable about the needs of children who may need extra support. They work in partnership with parents and other professionals to ensure that children and their families get the targeted help they need.
There are well-stocked book areas in every room and in the outside area. The outside area is well equipped to support the children's larger physical development and children learn to keep themselves healthy.
My family and I cannot recommend LPE Crouch Hill enough. We visited many nurseries during our search and we were immensely impressed by the sense of calm and creativity instilled across the nursery. The staff encourage children to be curious and polite towards one another. The children clearly feel secure and happy. The approach to eating is fantastic – healthy, adventurous meals served family-style to the children. My son loved the food and I believe it encouraged him to be a better eater at home as well. They have a large outdoor space with mud kitchen, playhouse, plants, and lots of toys. The level of engagement is unparalleled: we pick the children up from their classroom and receive detailed feedback from the team and we receive daily photos and notes on the nursery’s app. I only wish they would expand the curriculum up to age 18!
Read on GoogleThis is a great nursery! Our daughter absolutely loved it. The care is excellent and very well thought through. They aren’t blessed with a huge space so we personally would have liked to see a few more trips to local parks or similar but the children certainly don’t seem to mind and all seem extremely happy. So this would absolutely not put us off the place, and our second child will be attending in due course.
Read on GoogleOur daughter attended LPE for 4 years and was extremely happy there. During holidays she would often ask when she was going back. She learned a lot there, had a great relationship with staff, and was sad to leave. She has settled into her new school very well and I think LPE played a huge part in preparing her for that.
Read on GoogleOur eldest son went there from 15 months old to 3 years old and he loved it. It was really hard for him at first but the team was amazing, extremely patient and caring. They nurtured him and he really came out of himself during the years he spent there. They encouraged him to explore different activities and gave him so much confidence. We fully trust the staff and our youngest just started. He is just getting the same amazing care, lots of love and cuddles when needed. As a note, the food looks also great ! Thanks LPE !
Read on GoogleOur two children have been at LPE for a few years, we think it’s an outstanding nursery. Good, considered Montessori approach that the kids respond really well to. Strongest part of LPE is the staff - they are all excellent, very warm and caring, professional, and low turnover - many have been there for a long time. Highly recommend.
