How they support every child

SEND provision

The manager's curriculum is ambitious and progressive for all children including those with additional needs. The manager places a strong emphasis on staff training and ensures that this is targeted to benefit the children's learning. For instance, staff attend training to support children with additional needs with their communication skills.

Outdoor space

Children benefit from a broad and exciting range of activities that are easily accessible both inside and outside. Older children engage in back-and-forth conversations as they play in the garden.

Bright Horizon Kingston (victoria road) is the best nursery. My daughter started going there when she was 9 months old. It has been amazing experience with managers Sue and Hema. They’ve been extremely cooperative and supportive. Staff members including Phoebe, Natasha, Olivia, Jenna and many others are excellent in their work. They take such good care of my little one. I am so relieved after dropping her to nursery. They keep me updated about all activities on app. They always respond when I ask anything on the app. They made us feel like a family and second home for my daughter. If I tell about favours that nursery does for us to my colleagues at work place and other people around, they always “which amazing nursery is this”. I aim to stay in Kingston only for this nursery. My granddaughter has attended active learning for the last year . When she started she was shy, unsure and didn't like transition from one room to another. The dedication, support and encouragement from everyone has allowed her to thrive and gain independence. Lessons are fun filled and educational, music, art, French and ballet to name a few. The kids have a sports coach who comes in and they love it. The chef prepares fresh cooked meals every day which are superb and nutritional and caters for all specific dietry needs. Sue, Marie and the team are friendly, helpful and dedicated to encouraging and achieving excellence in all they do. The children are happy and well looked after, I would highly recommend active learning for all childcare and preschool needs. The best nursery experience ever.

Both my sons went to this nursery since they were 1 and my youngest is now in their pre-school room. It's a lovely nursery, fantastic caring staff and great facilities including a large outside space. I like that many of the staff have been there for years and the pre-school teaching quality is really high. They've been great during all the COVID restrictions and my son runs in with a happy smile every time he goes. Highly recommend!

I’m disappointed with the quality of care at this nursery. The staff seem disengaged - I have concerns about the overall safety and hygiene standards. Communication with parents is poor, overall I cannot recommend this nursery!

Excellent staff, welcoming and great environment for the children. Very pleased with the social development, interaction and confidence of my child. I would recommend this nursery to all parents.
