Areas to develop
Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
parents speak highly of the care their children receive at the nursery.
They comment that the care staff provide is personal to their child's needs, and they are offered unique activities.
Parents are happy with the information shared and describe the staff as 'brilliant, caring and supportive'.
Inclusion & environment
Managers and staff quickly identify children with additional needs and provide swift and targeted support. Dedicated staff get to know the children well, using their knowledge to plan and provide activities that enable learning, which results in all children, including those with additional needs, making good progress in their development. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children benefit daily from the enticing nursery garden. They develop their large-muscle skills as they push wheeled tricycles across the floor. Children laugh with delight, as they hold hands with their key person and jump in puddles shouting, 'splash!' as they land. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, both indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
I will recommend Nottingham Day Nusery and Preschool to everyone because the staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They make my son feel safe, happy, and well supported, which gives me great peace of mind as a parent. Communication is excellent, and the nursery app is very helpful as it allows me to see what my child is doing and keeps me updated throughout the day. This has really relaxed my mind and reassured me that Victor is in very good hands. I am also impressed with how the nursery teaches the children about healthy and unhealthy food. I have noticed a clear difference in Victor’s awareness. When offered crisps, he now says, “This is unhealthy and I don’t want to be sick,” but when offered apples, he says, “This is a healthy food, hmm yummy!” I was truly impressed by this learning, as it clearly shows the positive impact the nursery is having on him. Well done, team, and thank you for the amazing work you do.
Read on GoogleMy son just started here (he's almost 11 months old) and I felt compelled to leave a 5 star review because I'm just so incredibly happy with the nursery and the staff. What really stuck out to me when shopping around for a nursery was how clean this nursery was. No shoes allowed in the baby room, etc. Other nurseries we visited seemed a bit dirty. In addition, the staff are all absolutely wonderful. Everyone! So lovely and accommodating. A special thanks to the ladies who care for my boy in the baby room. Somehow, through pure magic, they've gotten him to take (good!) naps and drink from a bottle! Two things I was soooo anxious about because he's breastfed exclusively and he contact naps for all naps. And they managed that with love and care. He has even started wanting to sleep more independently at home, too. I'll miss the snuggles but it has made my life a lot easier. My son is absolutely thriving here and it's only early days! I no longer feel guilty about leaving him because I know he loves being at nursery. Plus, they are very strict about updating the app so I can see what my boy has been up to during the day. Absolutely thrilled with our decision to choose this nursery. Thank you so much to all of you for taking such good care of my precious baby boy 💞💞💞
Read on GoogleI attended Bright Horizons while trying to decide which Nursery to send my Son to. Initially, i was very skeptical about sending my son to nursery all together, but after visiting Bright Horizons- I’m now excited to. Krupa the manager is very professional and welcoming. It is evident that this nursery strives for excellence and the highest of quality standards. I’m very impressed to say the least. Staff all seem very passionate about what they do. In particular Jasmine, who took the time to introduce herself to me and my son, and then showed us around the Nursery again, which was lovely! The Nursery is also very diverse from what I can see amongst the children and staff. Looking forward to my son starting.
Read on GoogleMy son has been at Bright Horizons Nottingham for nearly 2 years now and he loves it! Through the Bright Horizons app, I am regularly updated on how my little one is doing throughout the day. The early help practitioners at the setting are great and will work with you to get the best out of your child. As well as providing updates at the end of each day, they also offer parents evening sessions where you can discuss your child in more detail. For each stage of his time at the nursery, my son has been assigned with a key worker which has given him a sense of stability and familiarity while he is away from home. The whole team at Bright Horizons are great and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants their child to progress all while having lots of fun!
Read on GoogleI came across the Nottingham Day Nursery and Preschool some time ago and I liked everything I saw on the website. Although I was quite certain it was going to be out of our price range, I recently booked a viewing. First of all, it turned out to be the cheapest out of all of the nurseries we have seen, moreover it is the only nursery that apart from meals and snacks also provides free nappies and wipes! Finally, it is the only nursery that offers settling in days over 8 weeks which makes me feel more at ease and more confident in gradually increasing the number of hours instead of throwing my daughter in at the deep end (most of the nurseries offer 2 days 1-2 hours each day). My first impression was very positive, place looked clean, organised and it had a nice flow between the rooms. The baby room was warm and bright, with different 'stations' set out with activities for babies, the sleeping area looked very cosy with fairy lights on to create a pleasant, soothing ambiance. It felt like a warm and comforting environment, each member of staff welcomed us with a big smile and each one of them seemed to be very caring, nurturing and supportive. The nursery manager, Krupa went above and beyond our expectations! During the viewing I was very impressed with her professionalism, dedication and passion for running this nursery and ensuring that all of the children are taken great care of and that they all thrive and are prepared for school when the time comes. We hardly had any questions as she explained everything in detail. I could tell that a lot of hard work has gone into making this nursery into a nice, warm and friendly environment as it is! All the babies and toddlers looked happy and like they had a lot of fun which speaks for itself! We felt really taken care of! I felt so calm and reassured and I think my daughter is going to really enjoy her time there! I could not be happier that we managed to get a place for her at this nursery! If her stay is going to be as positive as the first impression then it's going to be great!
