Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is highly knowledgeable and passionate about her role. She communicates well with other professionals and with parents to ensure a cohesive approach towards children's individual targets. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are included in all activities and make good progress from their starting points in development. However, while staff have put strategies in place to support children with SEND, these are not yet fully embedded.
Leaders have developed highly inviting outside areas, which encourages children to be active and physical in their play. Children go outside in all weathers and enjoy making choices from a wide range of engaging activities.
I cant fault this nursery as we have had a positive experience with this nursery. The staff are caring, professional, and create a safe, nurturing environment where our son has settled in well. Communication is clear and consistent, and the activities are engaging and well planned. My son so excited and happy to go nursery every morning and enjoys attending, which gives us great peace of mind. The reception staff are really welcoming and supportive, I can also have a nice chat with Charlotte and Sandra at the desk which is a really nice little touch. We would happily recommend this nursery to friends and families.
Read on GoogleMy baby has bonded very quickly with the team and this is down to the friendly environment the staff have created. We get daily updates on our baby through an app, which is great. The nursery follows our nap schedule so it allows consistency. We also get a lovely verbal update at the end of the day which is reassuring!
Read on GoogleBright Little Stars is an excellent nursery! Our daughter has been there for 7 months now, starting soon after she turned 1 year old. It was hard for her to start but the staff has been so kind, patient and caring with her that she now absolutely loves it! She is happy to walk in every day and she even calls teachers names when at home. The facilities are clean, well organised, plenty of space indoors and outdoors for children to play according to their age. Meals are healthy and varied, offered throughout the day at specific times and also offered on demand in case your baby is asleep while one meal is given. There are extracurricular classes for every age range which I had the chance to attend and are lovely and stimulating for the babies. There are also walks to the parks (under parent consent) which are great for kids to enjoy time outside and learn from different environment from nursery. The teachers are the exceptional part. They are genuinely loving towards the children. There is a key person assigned for each baby providing the parents with regular updates on their child development and settling in. Our daughter naturally preferred another teacher and the staff was flexible enough to switch to the preferred key person which was very nice. I receive pictures of my daughter doing great activities and I am super pleased with the availability of the staff. They are always smiling and giving me in person updates on my daughter when I either pick her up or drop off. They always welcome in my daughter with a big smile and a big hug (if she wants). They would phone me to say if my daughter is unwell or behaving differently. They provide lots of help when babies are transitioning between classes so that parents don’t have to worry about settling in to a new class. My daughter is about to enter the second class and she is already excited to join! She had the chance to spend some time with her new key person which is very wonderful to boost child confidence and secure attachment to adults other than their parents. I am at ease knowing that my daughter is there and would highly recommend BLS to any parent for their child!
Read on GoogleThis nursery is wonderful! The staff are so warm and caring, every morning your welcomed with a smile which puts you at ease. I've never had any problems at all while by son has been at the nursery the last 6 months. My sons loves coming to nursery to play with all his new friends and the activities they come up with are so creative and engaging, I couldn't imagine sending my son anywhere else!
Read on GoogleI feel compelled to share my experience with Bright little stars. My child has been on the waiting list for over a year and now we got an email that the they dont have a place at least until Dec 2025 . Totalling over 20 months of waiting. What’s even more frustrating is the nursery's unwillingness to refund the waiting list fee. It seems that the school is prioritizing revenue over genuine commitment to families. This practice feels exploitative and raises questions about their value and fairness. I reached out several times via email, the response was simply "it's non refundable as per terms and conditions"
