Ofsted inspected the day nursery in April 2024 and gave it an overall rating of Good. The inspector found that children settle quickly and are eager to play. Staff have established effective partnerships with families and other agencies to ensure children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to make progress.
The curriculum has a strong focus on physical development, with children having access to low-level climbing equipment both indoors and outdoors. In the garden, activities include riding bicycles, rolling cars along ramps, and making flower soup. The inspector also noted that mathematics is firmly embedded, with children learning about counting and mathematical concepts. According to the Ofsted report, parents are positive about the nursery, stating that their children enjoy attending and that their social skills, confidence, and language have developed well.

SEND provision
Staff have the same ambition for all children and have established effective partnership working with other professionals and agencies. This ensures that all children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), get the support they need. The special educational needs coordinator works closely with families, staff, and other agencies who are involved in children's care. This enables children with SEND to benefit from highly effective support for their ongoing progress. For instance, staff encourage children with SEND to play with their peers, which helps them to develop good social skills.
Outdoor space
Children experiment as they roll cars along ramps and others eagerly make flower soup in the garden. Children have access to low-level climbing equipment indoors and outdoors. They show delight as they ride around the garden on bicycles and use their feet to push them along.

My son has been going here since he was 1 and will unfortunately be leaving next September for school... An absolute gem of a nursery staff are super supportive and amazing with the children have not one bad word to say against brightsparks... They give a 100% each and every day! Working parents in the area please go and check this nursery out you will not be disappointed 💗

The team at Brightsparks Eltham are so wonderful with my 1 year old daughter. Her socialising, motor and speech skills have all come on massively since she joined in January. They use the Famly app which updates me and my husband live everyday on how much she eats and sleeps and we get very sweet photo updates at the end of each day. Staff are always so friendly and my daughter loves to go into nursery every day and comes out with a big smile.

After my daughter been there for 5 months now I decided to edit my review and say that if I could I would give 10 stars, and the only bad review here is a fake one! The staff is so friendly, the food there have a massive range and variety my daughter loves the environment, all the learning and play around there. Zoe is amazing since the first visit she has been always so lovely and helpful, Angela, Jade, Laurien, Lisa and all the other staff that sometimes helps with the pre school kids that are so lovely kind and patient. They do loads of activities, science experiments, sensorial activities, show and tell, they also involve the family and have an app where you are always updated. Love receiving pictures of the day and all the menu and activities! Thank you all!

We are so happy with the experience that both of our children are having at Brightsparks. They are thriving due to the amazing care that they receive. It is a very kind, caring and organised place - communication is excellent and we receive detailed reports on how our children are doing plus pictures and parents meeting. The staff know our children very well and are obviously very passionate about helping the children to learn and be happy little people! Thank you

Outstanding nursery which provided brilliant care and a variety of adventures to the little ones. The staff are fabulous, very friendly and you can tell they really care for the children. They provided observations and would keep you updated with all changes around your child's learning and development. My son has attended Brightsparks Eltham since he was a year old. Today will be his last day as he'll be starting school in September and l know he will miss his teachers and friends! We'll forever be grateful and many thanks for everything!!
