Brooklands Young Explorers, part of Brooklands Primary and Nursery School in Manningtree, offers a nurturing educational environment where every child is welcomed, valued, and respected. The dedicated and professional staff create excellent learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, complemented by a wide range of extra-curricular activities, visits, and trips, alongside high academic standards.

The nursery provides a unique, supportive learning space for its students. Admissions for the nursery are handled through the Education Authority's online portal, with applications for September 2026 opening in January 2026.

The school also features Social and Communication Unit classes for pupils with special educational needs, offering specialist provision within a mainstream school setting, including purpose-built sensory areas and outdoor learning spaces.

Outdoor space

Children have ample opportunities to explore their physical skills. They like to use bikes and cars to race one another. Staff help children to practise their balancing skills as they climb stairs and tyres confidently.
