Buds That Blossom nursery, drawing on over two decades of experience in childcare across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, provides high-quality care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery differentiates itself as an independent, locally-rooted establishment led by a director with extensive background in the childcare sector, having progressed from an apprentice to various leadership roles.
Upholding a philosophy centred on enjoyment, nurturing, and creative development, Buds That Blossom fosters a secure and educational setting where children are prepared for their school journey with a wealth of positive experiences. The nursery prioritises a caring, safe, and stimulating environment, understanding that starting nursery can be challenging.
They offer settling-in sessions to help children adjust and to facilitate communication between parents and key carers, ensuring a smooth transition. Adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the nursery aims to go beyond basic educational standards by cultivating confident, inquisitive children who value care and respect for others.
An online system called Famly keeps parents informed about their child's progress and development, encouraging a collaborative partnership. Daily outdoor play is integral to their approach, providing children with opportunities to explore nature and develop an understanding of the environment.
The dedicated staff, all passionate about working with children, receive continuous training in safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, and fire safety, as well as in-house professional development. Emphasising healthy eating, the nursery provides freshly prepared, globally inspired meals, accommodating various dietary needs.
A life skills ambassador also engages children in hands-on cooking and gardening activities, teaching them about food origins.
