How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported to regulate their emotions. For instance, staff give them small toys to hold when routines change during the day. Staff work in partnership with parents and other professionals to identify and implement specific targets to support children's individual needs, and put in place individual plans in preparation for when children go to school.

Outdoor space

Children have experiences to be physically active. Staff skilfully challenge children's abilities, such as supporting young children to walk backwards when climbing steps and encouraging older children to use their leg strength when jumping from one object to another during games without touching the floor. The inspector observed the quality of education during activities, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact this has on children's learning.

Cannot recommend Building Blocks highly enough. Joshua, Lorraine and the whole team work so hard to provide a fun, engaging and nurturing pre-school setting. We never had any doubts, after the initial tour, that Building Blocks was the perfect environment to help prepare our daughter for school. The staff are all wonderful and it is obvious how much they care for the children. We couldn't be more grateful for how they have loved and encouraged our little girl to be the very best version of herself. We only wish Building Blocks had been around when we started our nursery journey! Building Blocks will, without a doubt, be our first choice when we need childcare in the future. Thank you all so much for everything 💜
