Puddleducks Day Nursery in Spalding provides care for children from birth to four years old. It operates all year round, opening from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and offers funded childcare places for three and four-year-olds. The day nursery was inspected by Ofsted in March 2022 and received an overall judgement of Outstanding.

The curriculum is tailored to each child, with a strong focus on outdoor provision. Children spend long periods outdoors, eating their meals in the fresh air, and babies and toddlers sleep under a wooden gazebo. Activities include a weekly music session with new and unusual instruments. The Ofsted report noted comments from reception teachers that children from the nursery are exceptionally well prepared for school. The report also recorded that parents of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities commented on the high level of support the nursery provides for the whole family.

Puddleducks have been absolutely amazing for my son, I was so apprehensive about putting him into nursery as I didn’t feel anyone would look after him as I would, however they have been amazing. The nursery itself is so lovely, all of the staff are so nice and are brilliant with my son and supporting his development. He has been so happy there, they feed him a variety of homemade fresh food, they do so many activities with them including sign language and so much outdoor play! I wouldn’t ever have my children anywhere else and would recommend Puddleducks again and again!
