Catering to children from three months onwards, the day nursery operates 51 weeks a year, closing only for Bank Holidays, the Christmas to New Year period, and two annual training days.

The nursery offers both full and half-day sessions, with a strong preference for stretching government funding across the entire year to promote better settled children, though term-time only places are also available.

Meals and snacks, prepared by qualified chefs, are provided on-site, with careful consideration for dietary needs and allergies. Embracing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, Butterfly's ensures each child has a dedicated key person and utilises the Connect Childcare app for parents to track their child's progress and communicate with staff.

The nursery maintains strict safeguarding measures, including secure door entry systems, and all staff are qualified, holding paediatric first aid certifications and enhanced DBS checks. They pride themselves on not using agency staff, ensuring consistent care from familiar faces.

New children to the setting are given additional support until they feel confident to explore independently.

Pricing & funding

Fees are calculated over 51 weeks per year, with no charges applied for the Christmas holidays or two staff training days. Fees are billed monthly in advance and include all freshly prepared meals. A small consumables charge is requested for funded hours, with alternative solutions available on discussion.
