Jelly Tots Nursery (Goole) Ltd, located in Selby, registered in December 2022, offers a nurturing "Good" rated environment for children aged 0 to 4. With 15 dedicated staff members, 11 of whom hold Level 2 or above early years qualifications, the day nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, all year round except for bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

The setting prides itself on a well-thought-out settling-in process, allowing families and children to quickly become comfortable. Children are encouraged to develop independence, with toddlers and young children learning to pour their own water and serve food.

The curriculum supports children in building self-care skills, and staff introduce complex vocabulary like "hibernation" and "pollination" when discussing the outdoor environment, fostering a strong awareness of the world around them. Children actively engage in songs and rhymes, enhancing their speech and language.

The day nursery also provides targeted support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

What it's like

Children are settled and happy, and this includes new children to the setting. Through a well-thought-out and robust settling-in process, all families and children settle quickly into the nursery routines. Children build strong attachments with staff members who are very attentive and kind. They are highly responsive to children's needs and requirements to help them to feel safe and secure. All children, including those who may be shy or reserved, are highly confident and flourish. Children are highly motivated learners.
