Cannon Barn Montessori School in Pinner is dedicated to fostering the comprehensive development of each child through a blend of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the Montessori educational approach. Recognising the profound impact of early experiences, the school strives to cultivate critical thinking, foundational abilities, and an appreciation for their surroundings, coupled with empathy and social confidence.
Inspired by Maria Montessori's observations, the Directress, Janani, and her team infuse this philosophy into their curriculum, creating an inclusive and empowering environment. The curriculum is designed to cultivate intellectual, emotional, and physical resilience, fostering self-directed learning, adaptable problem-solving, creative introspection, and an ever-growing curiosity about the world.
From the moment children join, the school prioritises a nurturing, stimulating, and friendly atmosphere where learning occurs through play, positive relationships are built, and children can freely express themselves in a secure setting. The devoted staff work in close partnership with parents, families, and external agencies to ensure every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential, benefiting from individualised attention and the freedom to learn with ease and enthusiasm.
Our ethos
Our aim at Cannon Barn Montessori is to encourage the development of the whole child by providing a comprehensive Early Years Foundation Stage and Montessori education. We understand that our earliest experiences are some of the most important in shaping us into the people we become. It is with this in mind that we aim to cultivate independent thought, lay foundational skills, and build an awareness of environment, empathy for others and social ease and confidence. From the moment your little ones join, we strive to provide a nurturing, stimulating, friendly and inclusive environment where children learn through play, build positive relationships, and express themselves in a safe environment. We want all our children to have the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we work closely with our parents, families, and external agencies to ensure that this is achieved. With our qualified and committed staff, children are given individual attention and the freedom to learn with ease, enthusiasm, and enjoyment.

Excellent Montessori !!!! Nurturing staff with so much love to all the children....My son loves going to Cannon Barn "During the earliest stages the child perceives things like a solipsist who is unaware of himself as subject and is familiar only with his own actions.” ―Jean Piaget
