Areas to develop
Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
"Parents are complimentary about the nursery. They report that all staff know their children's names, even if they are not in their key/room group."
"Parents say that staff provide a variety of challenging activities for the children to do each day."
Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress from their starting points. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Older children enjoy experimenting in the mud kitchen outside, creating their own "chocolate ice cream" and "birthday cake". Children explore inside and outside freely, riding on bikes and balancing on stepping stones, which helps develop their physical skills and coordination. Older children access fresh air and exercise in the outside area, and extra resources have been purchased to enhance this area where children spend much of their time.
So happy with my daughter’s new nursery. The manager Leanne and her lovely team have made her transition from being cared for at home by me full time to being in full time childcare such a smooth one. She is full of beans when I pick her up and so happy and smiley and hugs the staff goodbye before she leaves. I couldn’t be happier with how she’s settled in and it’s one less thing for me to worry about whilst I’m a work. Huge thanks the Team at Castle Hill, Markenfield.
