Inclusion & environment
The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is good. The special educational needs coordinator works with parents and the local authority team to assess individual needs and identify appropriate support. Staff adapt the environment based on professionals' advice.
Children have opportunities to explore the local environment, going on walks, picnicking in fields, and visiting shops. However, the manager recognises that the outdoor provision at the nursery does not provide as many rich learning opportunities, limiting children's outdoor learning experiences.
My son has attended Channings, Newhey from 9 months old and he is settled and very happy there. The staff are professional and experienced and show care and kindness towards all the children that I have observed. Activities are fun and engaging as well as always having an underlying educational/developmental element. The nursery staff are excellent at communicating with me via phone and email.
Read on GoogleReally good nursery and in a lovely surrounding. Staff are excellent, my son has been going over a year and is coming on leaps and bounds.
Read on GoogleTerrible nursery! I’ve found the whole channings childcare chain should be shut down! The staff don’t have a clue what they’re doing and there seems to be a lot happening behind the scenes
