Inclusion & environment
The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is excellent. The highly experienced SEND coordinator ensures that no child is left behind, meticulously monitoring intervention plans, which results in gaps in learning quickly closing and children flourishing.
Staff effectively support children's love for the outdoors, with a carefully planned play environment designed to ignite curiosity and adventure. Children enjoy activities like searching for bugs, watching wildlife, playing ring games, and learning about caring for the environment, gaining a good understanding of the importance of outdoor play for physical activity and fresh air.
My Daughter loves attending preschool here. My Son also attended this Nursery until he started school in 2015 and he loved his time here, however they have made some excellent improvements to their facilities since he left. The nursery feels welcoming to everyone and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. My Daughter can't wait to go every morning and comes home full of tales about all the things she's done during the day. She loves the staff in the preschool room and they get to do some really fun activities. I'd definitely recommend this Nursery to anyone who is looking for a placement for their child.
Read on GoogleMy Son has been going here for almost 2 years now and he has flourished in that time. He had struggled with social communication until attending Holyrood - where they encouraged him and were patient with him. He is now a chatty 3.5 year old who comes home every day having learnt a new word, a new action or a new way to communicate. Their safeguarding policies are fantastic - I never worry about him when he is at nursery as I know they take care of him as well as I do. The staff are amazing and they are always willing to help.
Read on GoogleThis is an excellent nursery, I am more than happy with the staff are helping both of my children to develop. Both love going to nursery each morning, which gives me a lot of re-assurance that they are being treated very well, and are learning lots of new things - its a nice feeling when they learn something at nursery and are able to repeat at home without being prompted.
Read on GoogleOutstanding nursery, all three of my children have gone to this nursery, and soon my fourth will be doing. The staff are the most caring and trustworthy people that it makes it easy to leave my children in their care and not worry about them. My children have all loved going to this nursery and being there has taught them a lot of skills and has got them ready for school brilliantly.
Read on GoogleSince starting at Holyrood in January 2019, my son has come on leaps and bounds. He has a little speech delay at the moment but he has gained so much confidence and the staff have been really supportive with his speech development and he is learning so quick! The staff are very friendly and are more than willing to help and support with any issues or queries. The general running of the nursery is fantastic and is not a let down in the slightest.
