About this day nursery

Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery operates two distinct settings in Norwich, providing high-quality childcare within purpose-built facilities. The city centre nursery, established in 1990, caters to 52 children daily, ranging from 3 months to 4 years old.

A second, newer setting in Trowse, which opened in September 2021 within the local primary school grounds, focuses on children aged 2-4 years. The nursery prides itself on a 30-year legacy of excellence, having been recognised as a Top-20 nursery in the East of England.

Their approach to early years education is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, promoting learning through play in a secure, nurturing environment. Children are encouraged to explore and develop both intellectually and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on fostering positive behaviour and respect.

The dedicated staff, all qualified to at least Level 3 in childcare, are committed to providing exceptional learning opportunities and a wide array of activities designed to support each child's individual growth and development.

Chapelfield nursery is truly outstanding in all ways. Our little girl started at 9 months and stayed until starting school. She settled very quickly and enjoyed each stage of her time there - it just seemed to go too quickly! We cannot thank the staff there enough for their level of care and all their hard work.

A truly outstanding nursery in every way! Our daughter received exceptional care and really blossomed into a happy, confident and caring little girl during her time at CCDN. Her smooth transition into her new primary school is due in no small part to the efforts made by the staff to prepare the children for this big change and ease any worries they may have. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for us during her 3 years there.

Outstanding nursery. Our children love it at Chapelfield and it’s impossible to overstate how reassuring it is to know they are being cared for and given opportunities to learn and grow when they are not in our care.
