Chatterbox Children's Academy, located in Barnsley, provides a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 0-4 years. 30am, the nursery ensures children are well-prepared for their next steps in education.
The setting received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 2nd June 2025. Children arrive with enthusiasm and are warmly greeted by familiar, caring staff, fostering a strong sense of belonging and emotional security.
This contributes to children making positive strides in their development. The nursery offers clearly planned educational programmes, focusing on communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and preparing children for school.
Staff consistently model new words and encourage children's communication, helping them make good progress across all areas of learning. Chatterbox Children's Academy is inclusive, with staff working closely with parents and professionals to provide targeted support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Funding is used effectively to meet individual needs, ensuring all children make good progress from their starting points. Outdoor play is a key aspect of the nursery's provision, promoting physical development through a wide range of activities such as using spray bottles, scoops, and digging tools.
This supports the development of both small and large muscles, building strength, coordination, and confidence in physical abilities.
