The inspectors noted that despite staff showing clear care and kindness, and the leadership team expressing a willingness to improve, the quality of care and education remains inadequate.

The setting does not consistently meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, particularly for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), those who speak English as an additional language (EAL), and children settling into new rooms. This inconsistency means that some children do not make the progress they are capable of.

Behaviour management is inconsistent and often not suited to children's developmental stages, leading to emotional distress in many children. The curriculum struggles to meet individual learning needs, stages, or interests, and staff sometimes lack sufficient knowledge about child development, especially in communication and language.

However, the arrangements for safeguarding were found to be effective, with an open and positive culture that prioritises children's interests.

Many children show emotional distress, and staff often respond with rigid routines instead of addressing each child's emotional needs.
