Cherry Tree Nurseries, established in 2007 by Harvey Kalsi, operates with a 'home from home' philosophy, aiming to build strong relationships with families. The nursery is structured into three distinct age groups: Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-school, with each offering age-appropriate activities designed to foster development.
The environment is open-plan, bright, and airy, complemented by an in-house kitchen that prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily, catering to various dietary and cultural requirements. Children also benefit from two secure gardens that provide daily opportunities for outdoor exploration and learning.
The nursery follows the 'Birth to 5 matters' framework, which sets comprehensive standards for early years providers. This framework guides staff in observing, assessing, and planning for children’s developmental milestones, incorporating feedback from parents and professionals to ensure consistent progress.
The curriculum focuses on three Prime Areas—Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; and Communication and Language—and four Specific Areas—Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design—all designed to prepare children with the necessary skills for school while ensuring their health and safety.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children relish being physically active. Babies have lots of space to crawl around and enjoy pulling themselves up to standing on low level furniture. Toddlers enjoy digging in the sand and filling different containers. Older children spend time outdoors looking for worms and small insects. They add soap to a large puddle and use brushes to wash the path with all the bubbles that form. Ball skills are encouraged, and children enjoy time with staff and a football coach, finely tuning their skills.
Since starting in the Toddlers Room at Cherry Tree Nurseries (Tile Hill) in October last year, our son has really flourished. The team are kind, patient, and genuinely caring, and they made his transition into nursery life incredibly smooth - something we truly appreciated during those important first few weeks. We’ve noticed a significant boost in his confidence, social skills, and overall development. He comes home smiling, full of excitement and energy, which gives us great reassurance that he’s happy and thriving. The nursery offers a safe and nurturing environment, and communication with parents is consistently clear and helpful - we’re always kept informed about his progress and daily updates. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a fantastic nursery and would happily recommend it to other parents.
Read on GoogleMy son started here at Cherry Tree last month in the toddler room and both me and his Dad have seen a big growth in his confidence. I was so nervous when he first started but the staff really helped put me at ease, with their continued, amazing communication and updates. All the staff are lovely and polite, the toddler room itself is spacious and they have a lovely little play area outside. We definitely picked the right nursery. I just want to say thank you to all the staff members who have helped my son settle in, especially Sophie, who he’s taken a shine too.
Read on GoogleCherry Tree Nursery has been a very good experience for our family. They follow the guidelines properly and communication with parents is always clear and consistent, so we’re always well informed. My daughter Yasmin has been there since she was a baby and is now in the toddler class. I’ve seen positive progress in her development. she’s more independent and her social skills have improved from mixing with her friends. She feels comfortable at school and enjoys the daily activities, especially circle time and reading books. Her key person, Bourgeoise Panzo, has been supportive and attentive. She keeps me updated about Yasmin’s day and progress, and always shares feedback in a clear and positive way. The other staff members also provide updates when needed, which is very reassuring. Every morning when the staff greet her at the entrance, Yasmin runs in to hug them and can’t wait to start her day. That really shows how happy and comfortable she is there!
Read on GoogleOur son loves going to nursery. He started in Jan 26 but has already built really good bonds with the staff in the baby room, especially with Paula, Elizabeth and Afreen. He is always happy to go in when he sees them! As parents we also appreciate all the updates and photos we receive during the day. We feel extremely lucky we managed to find such a great nursery for our baby!
