Chestnuts Day Nursery, established in 1995 in Sale, M33 5AN, provides childcare on non-domestic premises for children aged 1-4 years. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm, all year round, closing only for bank holidays, one week at Christmas, and one week in August.

The latest Ofsted inspection, on 10th August 2022, rated the nursery as 'Good' in overall effectiveness, reflecting the warm and homely atmosphere where children are incredibly happy and form secure attachments with staff. The curriculum, which has a clear intent from the manager, focuses strongly on personal, social, and emotional development.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, staff have concentrated on creating a language-rich environment, immersing children in stories, rhymes, songs, and conversations. Staff are excellent role models, demonstrating kindness and respect, and have high expectations for the children.

Outdoor learning is a significant part of the daily routine, with a strong emphasis on regular physical play, including sports day events and yoga. Staff encourage sharing during outdoor water play and promote healthy living through stringent hygiene routines and freshly cooked meals.

Parents consistently express happiness with the care and education their children receive, appreciating the variety of exciting activities and feeling involved in their child's learning journey.
