What it's like

Children arrive at the nursery happy and separate from their parents with ease. Staff are loving and caring towards children's emotional needs, and provide children with support to make them feel safe and secure. Staff are positive role models. They treat children with respect and value their views and choices. Children follow instructions and routines well, and confidently engage in play with their friends. Children display good manners and their behaviour and listening skills are very good.

What it's like to attend

Children arrive at the nursery happy and separate from their parents with ease. Staff are loving and caring towards children's emotional needs, and provide children with support to make them feel safe and secure. Staff are positive role models. They treat children with respect and value their views and choices. Children follow instructions and routines well, and confidently engage in play with their friends. Children display good manners and their behaviour and listening skills are very good.

  • The manager is dedicated and has a clear vision for providing a happy and stimulating nursery for children to learn, develop and grow.
  • A well-sequenced and ambitious curriculum is in place. Staff know what children can do, and what they need to do to support children in their future learning.

  • Parents are very complimentary about the manager and the staff. They feel confident that their children are in safe and caring hands.

My daughter currently attends the nursery and my Son attended between ages 2-4. We have always found the nursery to create a safe, comfortable, fun, educational environment for the children. The variety of activities provided, quality of meals, outdoor space and primary school preparation is all absolutely brilliant. Staff are professional, friendly, organised and caring; taking the time to build genuine relationships with children, parents and family members. I’d recommend the nursery - both my children had wonderful experiences.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 9 months old, the staff are great and always happy to have a chat at pick up time to discuss anything related to his care. He is encouraged in his development and the staff use his interests to help build on his learning. I’m looking forward to sending his sister there and would highly recommend the nursery for anyone looking for a fun, educational and caring setting for their child.

This is such a wonderful nursery with incredible staff that have nurtured and cared for all three of my children over the last 8 years. My children all settled in well at a very young age as the nursery followed their home routines. As my children grew they learnt so much from their time at nursery- both academically and socially. Potty training alongside their help was a breeze! The staff are so supportive and caring and the management team are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. Its always a daunting time when considering a nursery for your child but I am so glad my children attended Washway Road Day Nursery and I have recommended it to many of my friends and will continue to do so. Thank you Clare, Chloe, Vanessa and the whole team :-)

Ethan has recently joined the nursery after an awful experience at another nursery. Claire the manager had been amazing and the settling in period has been great. Rachael and Megan are fabulous, the updates we receive each day are very thorough. We look through the window when we collect Ethan and he is constantly laughing. The ladies here are highly recommended. 5 * to all the ladies in the baby room.

Amazing nursery, my 4 year old has just finished pre school here after being there for 2 years. Staff are lovely & great with the children. Will definitely be using the nursery when my youngest is ready.
