Chrysalis Nursery & Pre-School provides a nurturing and stimulating environment across two Loughton locations: Church Hill and High Road, in addition to a Pre-School at the Cricket Club. They recently celebrated 'Outstanding' Ofsted grades for both nursery sites in February 2024 (High Road) and November 2022 (Church Hill), with the Cricket Club Pre-School receiving a 'Good' rating.
The nursery caters to different age groups through specially designed rooms, starting with the Caterpillar Room for infants aged 3-15 months, followed by the Chrysalis Room for toddlers (14-24 months), and the Butterfly Room for children aged 24-36 months. They also offer a Ladybird Room for 18-36 month olds, a Bumblebee Room for 36-60 month olds, and a dedicated Pre-School at the Cricket Club for children aged 36-60 months.
The curriculum focuses on supporting children's developmental needs within a safe and caring setting, encouraging independence, exploration, and a love for learning. Chrysalis at The Cricket Club has a qualified teacher and special educational needs coordinator who work across all three linked settings.
Children delight in exploring outside, looking for bugs among logs and leaves. Staff inspire awe and wonder by joining in, drawing children's attention to natural elements like a spider's web and discussing its purpose. Children also take part in obstacle courses and physical activities like yoga and dance sessions.
