Clarendon Nursery, established in 1978, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years in Leeds, LS2 9NS. Open all year round from 7am to 6pm, the nursery (rated Good by Ofsted on 11 May 2022) focuses on creating a safe and happy environment where staff build strong relationships with children and parents.
The curriculum prioritises communication, language development, and supporting children during transitions. Children are encouraged to choose books, and staff read aloud, pointing to words to foster an early love of reading and an understanding of text direction.
The nursery actively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), offering consistent and sensitive assistance. Similarly, children who speak English as an additional language (EAL) receive dedicated support.
