This is just the most lovely nursery/ Montessori you could hope for to have your child at. We are based in Esher and wanted our third child to go to a more intimate, Montessori setting having had his older siblings at much larger nurseries in the area. Sophie and Eirin provide the children here with such a warm, fun, dedicated setting here. There is a lovely outside play area and the main hall has such a great selection of both educational and fun areas for the children. My son has special educational needs and they’ve given us amazing support while his development in his time here has been amazing. He can’t wait to go here every time. It’s a very magical place and we will be sad to leave it when he starts school. Really recommended.

The manager and staff are amazing. We were very nervous putting my daughter into nursery for the first time. Sophie and her team are fantastic. Professional, caring and friendly my daughter loved every moment at Claygate Montessori and was superbly prepared for her step up to primary school.

An excellent standard of care from an excellent team. Providing a truly nurturing and flexible environment for all the children they look after they really help expand their horizons and support their development as happy and confident individuals ready and eager to learn.

Sophie and her team are caring, supportive and nurturing to the children who attend Claygate Montessori school. I had an excellent experience both times I sent my children. My eldest son is autistic and after visiting a couple of other preschools, who didn’t seem very enthusiastic about having him attend, I booked a visit in with Sophie. As soon as I met her and had a look around with my son I felt so welcomed and relieved. Sophie didn’t seemed phased by his additional needs at all and he had such a positive experience at Claygate Montessori in the years he was there. The smaller class size was perfect for him and meant he got a lot of attention and assistance from the staff. I don’t think he would have coped as well in a larger school setting. Sophie really went out of her way to support his needs and he was really happy there as he was free to be himself and really enjoyed going in every week. I went from being too anxious to leave him with anyone, to feeling confident all day that he was happy while he was with Sophie and her team. They truly are lovely people who really care about the children in the school. I don’t think I could have found a better preschool. My youngest son also attended a couple of years after my older son and he had the same experience and care throughout. Claygate Montessori really helped with his confidence and independence before starting reception. Both of my sons really thrived at Claygate Montessori and I would encourage any local parents to send their children there. Especially if your children have additional needs or need a bit of extra support as Sophie and her team are so amazing.
