About this day nursery

Clocktower Childcare Ltd, a childcare setting in Snodland, operates Monday to Friday, from 9am until 5pm, 48 weeks of the year. Registered in 2013, the nursery offers a welcoming environment where children aged 2 to 4 years confidently settle into their day.

The managers regularly reflect on what works well and how they can support improvements, while newly recruited staff receive regular feedback and support, contributing to a positive and effective learning environment. The setting places a strong emphasis on independence, encouraging children to take initiative in daily routines, such as finding their own lunchboxes.

This approach helps children develop essential skills for future learning. The nursery boasts excellent outdoor facilities, including a garden area for imaginative play where children can create pretend potions using herbs.

Additionally, daily visits to the school playground's forest area provide exciting opportunities for climbing trees and building structures with crates and planks, fostering collaboration and exploration. The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) works closely with external agencies to ensure effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), including making appropriate referrals for those with developmental delays like speech and language.

Staff implement strategies to support children awaiting interventions, leading to good progress for children with SEND. Parents describe Clocktower Childcare Ltd as a "family" and "homely" environment, highlighting the strong sense of community and care.

Staff also encourage children to discuss their feelings and emotions, promoting their personal and emotional development.

I honestly cannot recommend Clocktower Childcare enough. I was so worried about my little one starting nursery, but from the very first moment he started, all of those worries completely disappeared. He has been so happy, so settled and so clearly loved and cared for every single day. The staff are truly incredible so kind, patient, attentive and nurturing. They go above and beyond to understand each child and make them feel safe and included. They have been so supportive with Reg speech development, always encouraging him, working with him in such gentle and positive ways, and making sure he feels confident and understood. That means more to me than I can ever explain. You can see how much effort they put into making learning fun and engaging for the children, always finding creative ways to teach, play and even give little treats that make their day extra special. It’s such a warm, positive and loving environment. Knowing my boy is in such safe and caring hands gives me complete peace of mind. He goes in happy and comes out with the biggest smile on his face, and as a parent there is nothing more reassuring than that. Thank you so much to the whole team for the love, patience and dedication you show every day!
