Colourbox Montessori prides itself on fostering an environment where young children can flourish through a unique blend of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the Montessori approach. This philosophy encourages independence, sparks curiosity, and cultivates a passion for lifelong learning.
Established in 1992 by Susie Norman, who continues to oversee its operations, Colourbox Montessori has expanded from a single village nursery to a collection of highly-regarded nurseries within Suffolk. The nursery emphasises hands-on experiences and child-led exploration, aiming to inspire growth, confidence, and a sense of wonder in every child.
They strive to provide a calm and consistent atmosphere where children are encouraged to create, play, and build friendships while developing as individuals. The experienced educators, referred to as Montessori guides, use thoughtful language to support children in gaining confidence and becoming competent learners, valuing their uniqueness and respecting their choices.
Recent renovations across the nurseries highlight their ongoing commitment to providing excellent facilities and a welcoming space for new families. Colourbox Montessori encourages prospective parents to visit their settings to experience their approach firsthand.
