Coram’s Fields is a unique children's charity located in the heart of Bloomsbury, London, providing free play spaces and enriching programmes for children and young people since 1936. The charity is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment, strictly enforcing a policy that no adult can enter without a child to ensure the well-being of children up to 16 years old who play, learn, and thrive within its grounds.

Beyond its iconic playground, Coram’s Fields offers a variety of services including after-school and holiday activities that promote learning, creativity, and fun, a sports development programme to keep young people active and healthy, and a vibrant youth centre for children and teenagers up to 19. They also provide Early Years services, featuring a high-quality Nursery and an Under 5s Drop-In.

The organisation operates as a registered charity, relying on the support of donors, sponsors, and community partners to continue delivering its vital services. The history of Coram's Fields is rooted in the philanthropic efforts of Captain Thomas Coram, who established the London Foundling Hospital in 1739 to care for abandoned children.

After the hospital relocated and the land was almost sold for development in the 1920s, a campaign led to its preservation and transformation into London's first public children's playground, opening under the name Coram's Fields in 1936. The charity continues to celebrate diversity and provide a stimulating environment for London's children.
