Cornhill Kindergarten, located in a leafy area of Urmston, Manchester, is a well-established nursery that has been serving the community for over 30 years. Under the ownership of the current directors since 2004, the nursery caters to children from birth up to 8 years old.

It operates from two converted detached houses, providing spacious, inviting, and stimulating rooms filled with natural light and a wide array of resources. The learning philosophy at Cornhill is centred on play-based development, with older children benefiting from additional activities like dance and Spanish lessons, as well as regular outings to local parks.

The nursery prides itself on its dedicated team of qualified and experienced staff, many of whom are parents themselves, all extensively trained in areas such as Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Safety. They focus on delivering a high standard of childcare, rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and Birth to Five Matters.

The nursery boasts impressive outdoor spaces, including diverse natural landscapes, a vegetable garden, and various play areas. Meals are prepared by a qualified chef, providing a healthy and balanced diet, with children actively involved in cooking activities and enjoying fresh fruit daily.

Cornhill Kindergarten has consistently achieved an "Outstanding" rating in all areas by Ofsted, most recently in January 2022, reflecting its commitment to providing a nurturing, home-from-home environment where children can flourish.

Pricing & funding

Fees are structured around sessions including full days, morning sessions, afternoon sessions, and short days, with age bands split into under and over two years old. Additional early morning breakfast club sessions are also available, with invoicing billed on a monthly basis.
