About this day nursery

Cotswold Bunnies operates two distinct nurseries: 'On The Common,' established in 2015, and 'In The Cowshed,' which opened in February 2023. 'On The Common' provides 18 full-time places in a home-like setting with direct access to Rodborough Common.

'In The Cowshed,' located within the picturesque Upton Grove, offers 39 full-time places. Both nurseries are dedicated to offering an inclusive, relaxed, and joyful learning environment, placing a strong emphasis on outdoor play.

Their primary goal is to foster considerate, resilient, and kind children who are mindful of others and their surroundings. They encourage children to challenge themselves and take appropriate risks, enabling them to achieve their individual potential.

The nurseries cater to children aged 3 months to 5 years, operating Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5:30 pm, for 51 weeks a year. They employ highly qualified and experienced staff, with Forest School leaders at each location.

Cotswold Bunnies is also committed to being eco-friendly, prioritising organic produce whenever possible. They accept various funding options, including free-funded hours and Tax-Free Childcare.

Staff adapt activities and resources to ensure that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), have chances to explore the natural world and join in with physical activities. They work with parents and other professionals to provide support and help for all children, both in the setting and at home. All children, including those with SEND, make good progress in their learning.

Outdoor space

Children have plenty of opportunities to play and learn outdoors. Staff adapt activities and resources to ensure that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), have chances to explore the natural world and join in with physical activities. Children have fun riding on wheeled toys, filling and emptying containers with water or creating 'castles' with sand. Pre-school children enjoy outings to the nearby wood where they gain an understanding of the wider world and nature.
