Tetbury Nursery Playgroup

About this early years setting

Tetbury Nursery Playgroup is a day nursery in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, that provides care for children aged from two to four years. It opens on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 3.30pm, on Tuesday from 8.30am to 3pm, and on Friday from 8.30am to 1pm. At its inspection in July 2024, Ofsted rated the nursery as Good. The inspector reported that leaders have an ambitious curriculum and that staff nurture respectful relationships. The learning environment is regularly changed to offer different experiences, and children learn about their local community through regular walks and visits.

Outdoors on the playground, children take part in activities such as drawing with chalk, which supports their physical development and fine motor skills. The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator works with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure individual needs are met. According to Ofsted, leaders have adapted the curriculum to support children's development, including for those with special educational needs, and children with SEND make good progress.
