How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is a strength in the pre-school. Staff work effectively in partnership with external agencies and parents. Children with SEND, and other children who receive funding, receive targeted interventions from staff. Staff attend training to promote and prioritise the learning for children who need extra support, and those who may have SEND.

Outdoor space

Children have opportunities to benefit their physical health outdoors. Children ride bikes, use the slide and water trays. At these times, children are having fun and building friendships.

The best pre-school ever!✨ Both of my children have attended Crafty Wizards with my daughter still there at present. They have always gone above and beyond to accommodate for my son’s additional needs when he attended, and even to now when we come to collect his sister they are super helpful and understanding. I am extremely grateful for all of their help and support over the years and my children have and do absolutely love it here. They are very attentive and caring to the children and make it a really fun and exciting environment. I love how informative they are and always give a courtesy call whenever there is a slight incident just to inform me which is reassuring and appreciated. All of the staff are super lovely and friendly and always make time to answer any questions. Hannah especially has always been AMAZING!!! We are super grateful for her and the outstanding job she has done over the years, truly cannot thank her enough!✨

Staff Review ✨ Such amazing staff, they are all so friendly and make everyday magical. The teams all go above and beyond to ensure the children are thriving! The best thing about the Alderwood setting is that they have a holiday club, which is very warm and welcoming. Every child is included and always welcomed with a smile and a hug each morning. Crafty Wizards is amazing place to be ! ✨

I Would definitely recommend crafty wizards at the alderwood site. All of the staff are very lovely and have so much time for the children. My son has been going there for about 4 months now and he enjoys it so much . I genuinely do think the staff here have so much time for each individual child which is really amazing because it helps to build connections for the children . My son potentially has additional needs so I was rather nervous to send him to school as I didn’t have a great experience with my eldest HOWEVER the staff helped massively to make sure he got settled in well and have made the experience much better.

This is a brilliant setting for young children! I cannot recommend Crafty Wizards highly enough! My son started going there after his 3rd birthday and as parents, his father and I were worried in the beginning. The teachers are brilliant, very caring, attentive and considerate! They talked us trough every little detail and managed to make us feel very confident and safe in leaving our child in their care! My son was very attached to me and in the beginning there were a lot of tears. Thanks to the lovely Mazie, Nina and Ceyda, who were super attentive and had an amazing approach towards him and me this process was much more easy and comfortable for the both of us. And my God, are we happy that we chose this particular setting! Our son made an amazing progress with his English in just a week, he became more confident, more social and made lovely new friends! They have always kept me in the loop with everything going on and I have always felt my concerns were dealt with very appropriately. Also the communication has always been to an amazing level. I have been to a few open days since he started attending and I am very pleased and amazed of all the different activities they set up daily for the little ones. A massive thanks to the whole Crafty Wizards Alderwood team for making my son feel safe and at home in their care!
