Children with SEND thrive in this outstanding pre-school and benefit immensely from a devoted and passionate special educational needs coordinator (SENCo). Staff ensure that vulnerable children and those from disadvantaged backgrounds receive timely and tailored interventions.

Outdoor space

Children benefit immensely from opportunities to learn about their local community. They have weekly forest school sessions and regularly visit their allotment to tend the plants and vegetables. Children benefit from excellent opportunities to access fresh air and play outdoors daily.

We are incredibly grateful for the care and support our son received at Crafty Wizards. From day one, the staff established a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where he felt safe, happy, and encouraged to grow. The team’s dedication, kindness, and professionalism made a significant difference in his development, giving us great peace of mind as parents. Communication was always clear and thoughtful, and it was evident how much genuine care they have for the children. As we are now moving to another country, we are very sad to say goodbye, but we will always cherish this time with fond memories. Thank you to the entire team for everything you have done. We truly appreciate all your efforts and highly recommend Crafty to new Wizards families.

Crafty Wizards Nursery has been absolutely incredible for my son. The staff are patient, nurturing and genuinely invested in every child’s progress. They’ve supported his speech and confidence beautifully, creating a safe and happy environment where he’s truly thrived. Communication with parents is excellent. I always feel informed and involved, and it’s clear how much thought and care goes into every activity. My son loves going in, and that says it all. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

My son loves going to nursery now. He excitedly runs to get to press the doorbell to go in and comes out smiling at pick up. It wasn't an easy start for him as he hadn't been away from me apart from with a couple of other family members before. Staff were accommodating and mindful of his needs and discussed with me how to help him settle and worked to find a strategy that made him feel nursery was a safe space. They were also very kind when I had my own little wobble as I was feeling worried about the whole situation. I love that new activities are set up each day. Pictures of these and of what the kids are up to are posted on the private parents facebook group a couple times a day. It means we can show my son and chat about his day and what is going on at nursery. It helps build his speech, but also allows us to learn more about who is important to him at nursery and what he enjoys even though he isn't yet able to express it fully in words. My son enjoys being outside. With the nursery's vast garden and free flow between in and outdoors most of the time, he clearly makes the most of it. Good wipe down coat advisable.

My son started at Crafty Wizards New Eltham when he was just 18 months old, and the progress he has made since then has been amazing. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in getting to know him as an individual. The team are caring, welcoming, and highly skilled - they notice the small things, celebrate every milestone, and tailor activities to help each child grow confidently.

Absolutely wonderful nursery. My daughter went here over 10 years ago and loved it. My son now attends, and he loves it too, goes in happy and excited every day. He also has some additional needs which the nursery have been incredibly helpful with, and assisted us to navigate getting the right support. Highly recommended!
