Crocus Early Years (Hinxton Hall Nursery) has been operating since 2001, providing childcare on non-domestic premises for children aged 1 to 4 years old. Open all year round, from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, except for public holidays, children are happy and settled, enjoying their time at the nursery.

The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 17 May 2022. Children are curious and motivated to learn, using various resources to develop their imaginative skills, such as making a ‘river’ with water or ‘potions’ with natural items like flowers and herbs.

Babies form strong relationships with staff and are encouraged to develop independence and self-care skills, such as feeding themselves and pouring water. The nursery values outdoor learning, with children enjoying stories in the garden and exploring nature, identifying birds and discussing fledglings.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported, with staff understanding their needs and working closely with parents and other professionals to review children's next steps. Parents consistently provide positive feedback, feeling exceptionally well informed about their children's learning and appreciating the approachable staff.
