What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Parents report the staff are friendly, and there is always time to talk about anything they may need to regarding their children.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

There is a strong focus to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff liaise with additional agencies when needed and put effective plans in place to identify individual targets. Additional funding is used well. As a result, children, including children with SEND, make very good progress.

Outdoor space

Children have lots of opportunities to be active and develop their physical skills. For example, babies enjoy splashing water and building with blocks. Toddlers enthusiastically paint the fence with water and are keen to stretch up high to make the water drip down the wood. Pre-school children show high levels of coordination and balance as they eagerly walk across the assault course they have made from wooden planks, tyres and plastic crates.

A lovely nursery with very kind, friendly happy staff, my boy absolutely loves going to nursery! He started at 9 months old and now does 2 full days and 2 half days and he's learning things so quick! He's incredibly sociable and always happy, waving and saying "Hi" to people 😊 I am very happy leaving him in Daisy Fays care whilst I go to work, and I didn't think I would but it is brilliant for him and he's thriving ❤️ Actual photos of him at daisy fays having the best time!

We're so pleased we chose Daisy Fays nursery for our son. He's been attending for over 3 years now and he loves it. He's grown in confidence and has made a lovely group of friends. The staff are brilliant, nothing's too much trouble, and they all seem very kind and nurturing with the children. They do a great mix of play, learning and activities, offering support whilst encouraging independence. We also really love that they get a hot cooked lunch every day.

Our daughter has been at Daisy Fays Chiverton since she was 11 months old in the baby room and is now 4 in the pre school room. I cannot fault the nursery in any way. Every staff member than has worked with her has treated her with kindness, fun and positivity. They know her so well that I feel confident and happy when I drop her off, knowing they will care for her incredibly well. She has thrived during her time at the nursery, being encouraged to develop friendships, communication skills and elements of learning that will prepare her for school next year. Each key worker across the three rooms has been amazing and we have brilliant hand over debriefs about her day. Whenever we have needed the support of the nursery, whether weaning, dropping naps, or potty training, they have been immensely helpful. Beth runs the nursery so well as manager, knowing every child like they are her own - as do all the staff. My daughter loves telling us about her day and loves going to nursery on her days. I would chose Daisy Fay’s Chiverton time and time again if I had to.

My little girl has recently been settling and I’m so happy we have chosen Daisy Fays. Staff have been really attentive and friendly when my little one was having her settling in sessions, now she’s there full time I get frequent updates and quick replies to messages. She enjoys all the activities on offer and the food always looks delicious. So good for her to have a full hot meal at lunch time. Can’t wait to see how she continues to grow there. Thank you all at Daisy Fays Chiverton!
