What it's like to attend

• Children begin the day with warm hugs from staff and group time with their friends, promoting their well-being and making them feel happy and safe.
• Children learn about personal hygiene and independence, with staff reminding them to "fight against germs" and use a nose-wiping station.
• Staff enrich children's curiosity by showing them a globe and identifying different countries, discussing the usefulness of maps and exploring flags and languages.
• Communication and language strategies are effective, with staff speaking slowly, repeating words, and using hand gestures to support children's speaking and listening skills.
• All children love books, independently choosing to get comfortable and read, with skilled staff joining in to widen vocabulary.
• Staff promptly identify children who may need additional support, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring all children make progress.
• Parents know who their child's key person is, and staff work collaboratively with external professionals and parents to help children achieve their next steps of development.
• Children recall past learning while playing with fairy houses, looking closely at woodland animals and engaging with staff questions to enhance creativity and knowledge about nature.
