The stimulating curriculum is carefully designed around children's existing knowledge and current interests, ensuring activities are tailored to support their confidence, independence, communication skills, and emotional regulation. The pre-school provides exciting play and learning both indoors and outdoors, with regular visits to a woodland for forestry activities.
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), receive exceptional support; leaders effectively use additional funding to meet individual needs, and staff promptly identify and address specific learning and social requirements. Parents speak highly of the staff's support in helping children settle and their effective communication regarding their children's care and education.

Danbury Pre-School at St John's registered in 2010. The pre-school employs nine members of childcare staff, with eight holding appropriate early years qualifications at level 3. The pre-school operates from Monday to Friday during term time only, with sessions from 9am to 3pm, and breakfast and after-school clubs running from 7.30am to 8.45am and 3.20pm to 6pm respectively. The pre-school provides funded early education for eligible children.
