About this day nursery

30pm. Established to support children aged 0-4 years, the nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 1 May 2025.

Children are happy and settled in this inclusive setting, where a varied and ambitious curriculum is in place to support their good progress from their individual starting points, including the development of physical and self-care skills. The inspector noted how children develop self-care skills in preparation for school, such as putting away belongings and finding their photo on arrival.

The nursery places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with the inspector observing the quality of education provided both indoors and outdoors and assessing its impact on children's learning. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are particularly well supported.

Leaders thoughtfully utilise funding to provide a dedicated sensory room, a calming area, and resources specifically for these children. Staff collaborate closely with external professionals like local authority SEND advisers and speech and language therapists to ensure targeted support to address any emerging developmental gaps.

The nursery also focuses strongly on communication and language development within its curriculum, with staff using age-appropriate language, encouraging singing, and employing visual aids, especially for children with SEND and those learning English as an additional language. Parents frequently 'compliment how staff prioritise care for their children' and are 'impressed with the variety of exciting activities their children enjoy'.
