SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo) works effectively in partnership with outside agencies and parents. Staff ensure that all children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive good support to help them effectively close gaps in their learning. This has a positive impact on the quality of education that all children receive. My experience so far has been awesome. I had to give my 2 year old to preschool due to development delay so I was feeling very nervous already but from the moment I made contact with this nursery, to our first meeting and settling in sessions, it has been so productive and the nerves drifted away. The staff are very welcoming, they listen to your wants and needs and provide daily feedback which is something I needed due to my child’s delay. The staff have been so supportive of my child and I can see in their work/ ethics that they really care and want each child to do their best. They have always taken the time to listen to me, respond appropriately to my questions and most importantly look after my child in a safe, educational environment. My child has made significant progress in development since attending this nursery. Eye contact and awareness have improved so much and both family and friends have seen a positive difference. I have also seen a difference in the way my child plays, which is more interactive now. A big thank you to the team for their hard work and support. I hope my child continues to progress and be happy here.

My daughter started at the age of 2 and I was extremely worried as neither of my other children started nursery that early. However she loves it and has developed in so many ways. They fo a great job of engaging her.

I'm very happy I chose this nursery for my daughter. She started when she was two years of age and remained until four years old until she was ready to start reception. She settled well in this nursery and she was also happy. They were even able to keep her until five if required but she had to start reception. However the staff were kind, nurturing, thoughtful and took great care of the children including my daughter. She developed well in confidence and also in learning phonics. I always felt safe and happy to bring my daughter here and I enjoyed participating and attending some of the special occasion celebrations such as Christmas and Mother's day. Thanks to the manager and all staff for their organisation of these gatherings they are fun and a valuable, refreshing experience. I would highly recommend Golden Star Nursery as a first choice.

We have been very happy with this nursery for past year and a half! We visited number of nurseries in area when looking for a place and this one instantly clicked for my son. Nursery staff has been very forthcoming and helpful along the way, kids get very good cooked food and my children have always been very happy to go and even happier when I collect them. Also the progress I see in children's confidence and skills is notable. I find this nursery goes extra mile providing different activities and various forms of learning for the children.

My daughter attended this nursery from the age of 2 and stayed for over a year until we moved away. She built very good relationships with some of the staff members and friendships with her classmates. We have many fond memories of the nursery and enjoyed receiving feedback from the staff when picking her up. We will miss Golden Day Star Nursery and highly recommend it if you're looking for a nursery with good values and an accommodating environment.
