Ducklings Opportunity Group, established in 2009, is a childcare setting registered on non-domestic premises in Stoke-on-Trent, offering a Good standard of provision according to its latest Ofsted inspection on September 5, 2025. Catering for children aged 1 to 4 years, the nursery operates term-time, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Throughout the day, children are warmly welcomed by friendly staff who foster a sense of independence and security, helping them settle quickly and form trusting relationships. The broad curriculum is designed around children's interests, ensuring that learning is engaging and enriches their understanding of the world through meaningful experiences, such as community outings.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are identified early and receive tailored support, with staff working closely with parents and professionals to ensure progress and inclusion. Daily routines include outdoor play, where children can develop physical skills and explore nature, as well as creative play opportunities indoors and out.
Snack time and toothbrushing are regular features, promoting good manners and healthy habits. The nursery celebrates individuality, introducing children to diverse cultures and traditions, fostering respect and a sense of belonging.

Inclusion & environment

Staff work closely with parents and professionals, keeping families regularly updated on their child's progress and next steps. This helps to ensure every child feels included and is well supported to make good progress.
Children spend time outdoors each day, enjoying the space and freedom to be active. They build strength and coordination as they climb the slide and whizz down with excitement. Curiosity about nature is encouraged as they search for butterflies, using binoculars to spot where they might fly.
