Eden House Day Nursery, nestled on a picturesque family farm just off the A505 near Royston, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Operating 51 weeks a year, the nursery embraces a modern "curiosity approach" to learning, focusing on creating a safe, exploratory, and enjoyable space where children can flourish.

At Eden House Day Nursery we have taken elements of the modern day ‘curiosity approach’ to learning. The whole ethos behind the ‘curiosity approach’ has had a big impact on the type of setting we offer. Our mission is to provide an environment where your child feels safe, where they are free to explore and where they can have fun! We believe that in creating a homely environment with rich learning opportunities that encourage curiosity and independence, children will thrive. Our experienced qualified practitioners ensure that children are supported, nurtured and valued. We believe that developing strong relationships with families is key to this and enhances a child’s emotional well-being. We have developed our own curriculum focusing on the nursery environment, children's needs and what we would like them to achieve before they leave out setting. We have taken into account the Early Years foundation stage frame work, Characteristics of effective learning and of course our practitioners in depth knowledge, to plan for and assess the children. However following the children’s interests is our key focus and the heart of everything we do. Our values incorporate encouraging strong links to the environment and helping children to develop respect for their world, with outdoor play high on the agenda, using natural resources in play and reusing furniture within our setting.

What it's like

The nursery is a happy and welcoming place where children are well cared for and feel safe. Staff know the children well, providing engaging activities based on their interests and promoting a calm and nurturing environment, even for the youngest children. Children are confident to explore, friendly with visitors, and enjoy both independent and staff-led activities.

Pricing & funding

Charges are based on full-day sessions with a minimum booking of two days per week. Fees include meals, drinks, nappies, and wipes for non-funded hours. Government funded hours are stretched over 50 weeks of the year, and fees are payable monthly in advance.
