Our experience with this nursery was mixed, and we are sharing this in case it is helpful for other parents. Firstly, compared with other local nurseries, the outdoor facilities are quite limited, with no garden or regular access to outdoor space, which we feel is important for young children’s development. Secondly, we noticed that our child showed visible signs of distress during drop-off and pick-up times. As he is still very young and under two years old, we felt it would be appropriate to pause attendance for a period to observe and reassess. However, this suggestion was not accepted, and we were encouraged to continue without a break. During this process, we were also required to pay an additional £384 for four weeks of fees, which we found difficult at the time and would have appreciated more flexibility and discussion around alternatives. Thirdly, the stated fee of £48 per morning was not clearly reflected in the final charges. Due to monthly averaging, the effective rate came closer to £54.80 per session, which we found unclear. Finally, the current environment differs from the photos shown on Google, which created some difference between expectation and reality. We understand nurseries operate under set policies, and we may not have fully understood all procedures at the time, but we would have valued more clarity, flexibility, and communication in our situation.
